Long Time, No Type

Hey Folks,

Over the weekened, Tiffany commented on how I never wrote in my Blog anymore and I meant to, but since the accident, nothing too exciting happened. However, not saying it has not been good because it certainly has been. I am not sure who reads this or not and I am sure if I had loyal readers, where it has been so long since I wrote in here, I probably lost them as well. It's funny though, majortiy of my Team Leaders (Supervisors) at work ask about it since the whole incident this summer, which is behind me now and I like it better like that. Most of it is about Tiffany anyways, so it is all good in that department, hehehe.....

I am going to start by commenting about the accident. I am not going to get into much detail about it because my own insurance company fucked me over, by not investigating the accident properly and paying the cab company off and next Fall, I am sure my insurance will be going up because of it. Fair or not, not much I can do. Wish I could get Newfoundland Cabs back, but I am going to let be. Most importantly Tiffany and I was ok and my car is fixed. I brought my car to "The Dentist Specialist" and he did an amazing job with my car. If it wasn't for the slightly differnt colour door, you couldn't tell I was in an accident. In addition, Pippy survived it as well, hahaha..... I leave it at that to keep the reader's thinking.

Now, on to work at Covergys. I think I am allowed to say the name of the place I work, but not the company I work with. However, for the past few months or so, I have been working with a new project at work, which is working out great actually. At first, I was a little sketchy about it because I didn't volunteer for it, but my hard work paid off and now part of a great group peers and two good supervisors to go along with it. I will say I work for cellular service though, like cell phones. It is definitely different from the other projects I worked in. Where it is new, it is slow and not many calls coming in. My start times went a little earlier, so I get off at a decent time and get to do stuff, that I wouldn't be able to do before. In addition, I got my PA (performance appraisal) a few weeks ago and I did great this time around and because of that I will be getting a better raise the next time around when I accumulate my hours and starting December 10th, I will be starting at 7am's. It will be a change from what I am working now, but I think I am looking foward to it and getting off at 3:30pm's will be awesome. Lastly, I earned my every second weekend off (even though it took some time) for my perfect attendance of the third quarter from July to September and I love the fact I get to spend more time with Tiffany, which leads to my next topic.

Tiffany and I are still doing great and getting better as time goes by. I definitely was appreciative for her being there the night of the accident because she was able to comfort me the next day, where I never showed up to work and she just spent time with me because I never slept the whole night. On the weekends offf, we have been pretty much relaxing for most of it because since the accident, we rarely go out anymore. However, I am sure we will get out soon enough. Tiffany has been busy with school lately and I have been trying best as possible to be there for her support where the semester is coming to an end soon and exams is just around the corner. I am happy that she has great friends in school as well, because it has been hard this semester on her and I seen that first hand, but I would never give up on her and I know her friends would not as well. So special thanks goes to NaDeana, Sweyen, and Beth and you'll see mine and Tiffany's appreciation soon enough. I was volunteered to cook them supper and all. When you are a good cook, you are a good cook. Tiffany never complains. This Friday is the nursing Christmas Party and I can't wait, should be loads of fun. I think the date I am waiting for though is December 15th. Why this date you might ask, it is the day I am flying back to Labrador and this time I get to take Me Loves with me for her first visit to Labrador. I get to show the one I love the place where I grew up. There is not a whole lot to see and do, but I will make sure she is not bored, no stress involved, and just give her a memorable trip to Churchill Falls. Just an other thing to add to our list of great memories. CAN'T WAIT!!!!! I am sure she is feeling that was as well.

The only other things I could think of right now, in what happened in the past month or so are three things. Tiffany and I showed up to our friend Stephie's house-warming party and that was lots of fun. I rarely see Stephie anymore, but very happy that her life is going well with her new guy and the new house is really nice and the two kitties are cute. The second thing would be an awesome night with a great friend of mine from Acadia, now at MUN named Jill and her boyfriend Dave and Tiffany. It was a night of small ball bowling. It was the first time I did small ball bowling in like 15 years, but it was great fun and I am sure I will be doing it again. Plus, having old friends near by and talking about old times is always good. Acadia Geology started a new life for me and I am sure I will never be forgot there in that department. The last thing was tonight, where Tiffany's friend Stephanie P. decided to through a suprise for our friend Janelle for her birthday. Tiffany could not make it because she was not feeling well. So hopefully in the next few days, she gets better. Always hate seeing a loved one not feeling well. At first, I thought it would be a little uncomfortable for me being there without her, but I was felt welcomed and that helped a lot. The supper was great and Janelle was out of it from the early mornings and 3/4's of her drink, so it was pretty funny. Steph is cool as well and I see picture of her daughter tonight, so cute. So it turned out to be 2 hours of fun and I was happy to be invited.

That's about it for now. Hopefully next time, I won't wait to so long to type up a new posting.

I'm Outta Here!!!!!

Thanksgiving Has A New Meaning

This is going to be one of my most serious postings yet. Last night I went through one of the most scariest moments of my life and that is being side-whiped (t-boned) by a taxi van that was flying down a road and I did not have time to get out of the way, so I got hit on the driver's side of my car. When I got hit, my foot came off the peddle and I ram into the side of a house. So I guess I would say I am very lucky to be sitting here right now typing away an other posting and without a scratch on me. However, I am a little sore from it all and never slept very much because the image of a van coming towards me haunted me throughout the night. Tiffany was also in the car with me and I never seen her more scared in my life, and I think that was the hardest part for me because she means so much to me and I never want to see her harmed in any way. So this whole experienced is an eye-opener for me and I am really appreciating life right now and you can't imagine the scare I got last night.

After the accident, Tiffany and I went to the hospital just to get a check up done and nothing was bad with us, except for the stiffness ofcourse. Then we came back to my place and just talked things through, she slept because she was beat and I tried my best, but never did a very good job of it (about 2 hours). I was really shaken up from the whole experience, so I decided to take a day off work, it was the first time I called in sick this year, but it was well needed for me. This morning, I also re-visited my accident area and measured the skid marks and put some of my physics background into good use and found out he was going past the speed limit, I don't need a specialist to tell me that and had pictures proving that he wasn't even on the right side of the road. I am not sure what I am doing with this information yet, but we'll have to wait and see. It was hard to see what happened, but good being able to walk up there and see it. Just happy to be alive really. So I spent majority of the day with my Tiffany and it was great to have each other through this rough time. Did I mention I love her? Probably in all my other postings, but it's true and I will never deny it. This whole things just proves we can get through anything, if we have each other. I felt bad putting her through it, but she keeps telling me it is not my fault. I am so lucky to have her and even more as time goes by. So Tiffany, I know you will be reading this and I just wanted to let you know, that I love you more than anything and appreciate everything you do for me, even if it is little, it will always mean a lot.

So there is one more person I have to mention in this posting because I think she felt in fault for the whole thing and her name is Lee-Ann. See we were on our way to her friend's party when the whole thing happened, but Lee-Ann, it is not your fault and the main thing is that Tiffany and I are ok and we'll all go out again sometime soon. And Lee-Ann, I am mentally ok, as much as I could be because I was never fully mentally right and I am sure many would agree there. You're a great friend and never change.

So this Thanksgiving has a total new meaning for me, thanks for being alive, thanks for having Tiffany and family in my life, thanks for having my family as well, and thanks for all those friends of mine that sent thier concerns and thoughts to Tiffany and I.

Peace Out, Corey J. Curl

Friends

For once, I am going to stop and write a blog about something that is not based on the events in my life, but about my friends. I am going to start off with two quotes I found on the internet that sums up the meaning of friendship from my point of view and here they are:

"There was a definite process by which one made people into friends, and it involved talking to them and listening to them for hours at a time."

"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."

I'm proud to say I have a lot more friends than enemies. I don't know what they all see in me really at times, just glad to know I can always rely on them when needed and if that was not the case, I really can't consider them friends can I? My circle of friends keeps getting larger and larger as times goes by. Unfortunately along the way, I also lost a few in the process.

Even though the reason I came to St. John's in the first place was because of my ex Janelle, I really should thank her for leading me to this town. I now couldn't be happier being with the best of friends and my girlfriend Tiffany. I can't honestly see myself in the future without this girl and knowing she is much more than a girlfriend to me, means a whole lot more. You know when someone knows you well when she takes your compass out of your backpack and tells everyone I will make a comment on my 100 dollar compass and do so, that's special. I also know when she reads this, that part I just wrote, she will laugh. With Tiffany alone brought more friends into the picture as well and I will not mention them all because to be honest with you, I have a hard time keeping track myself. It is like Tiffany with my family. It is a very diverst set of friends, but all great people and they welcome you the second you walk through the doors.

Convergys also brought along many great friendships as well and I don't think I would have lasted so long without them. It was also the place where I met Tiffany as well, so I can't complain really. Along the way, many have left, but new ones came in. On the news the other day, it commented on why Convergys has a high turn-over rate and was wondering why. I am not going to mention management, that got me enough trouble already, but the type of work we do, it is not meant for certain people and a lot of people get very stressed over the place. So if I carry on in the work place, telling jokes, making an ass out of myself, or so on, it is just to keep my sanity (for the little bit I have left). It is not the best of places to work, but not the worse either and good friends makes it a little easier.

Acadia University was my first time I was ever on my own and for the 6 years I was there, I met people from all over the world and majority of them, I still keep in contact with. It might be months before I do so or the same for them, but how can you lose friends when distance is not a factor and they got me through some rough times here as well. Jon English, Chelsea, Lisa, Nicole, Slimmy, Jill, Crystal, and Teri are probably the ones I keep in touch with the most and if I forgot anyone like Jay, Jodi, Maresa, Melanine (now they pop in my head), and etc... Truely sorry. I will be back to the Maritimes one of these days for a reunion.

Churchill Falls, the place I grew up in and even though I didn't do much as a child to being a teenager, except for playing video games and watch tv, it turns out I still keep in touch with a few really good friends. Those being Charlene and Mindy mostly. Well technically Shannon use to live there was well, but that was so long ago, it probably doesn't count, even though he is with us majority of the time. Oh yeah, also can't forget the Bleeman and I wouldn't have gotten through Acadia as well with is help.

So for those who reads my blog and is in this category of "Friends", I am very happy knowing there is still lots out there. A lot of them I talk to on MSN from morning to nightfall and otheres, in a form of an email. It's not common over the phone because by the time I am done working, I really don't like taking those calls, hahaha..... Joking. You're all unique, funny, strong, generous, great, and the list could go on, but I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!!!!!

On My Own

Like the title says: "I am on my own".

However, before I go on about that, I will have to clarify that statement above because there was a little confusion in when telling a few other friends, thinking I was single again, but that's not the case. I really hope that is not the case ever again to be honest with you because things are going so great with Tiffany and I right now and I now live on the street right down from her.

So the whole meaning of the statment above is that I just moved into my own, one bedroom apartment. It is a basement apartment, but leads out to the level of the backyard and each room has windows, so I have a lot of light coming through if needed. I am paying 420.00 per month, with partial heat included (if the oil furnace is on upstairs, I will get some of that heat as well), hot water, cable, and I got internet as well (the nice landlord upstairs allowed me to hook up my wireless router to the internet). So as you can imagine, I can't complain about that too much. Actually I can complain about that at all. So I just finished cleaning up everything and organizing on Monday and just loving the feeling that I have my own privacy and not being secluded to my room 24/7. I know some of you guys will be wondering why I moved out from Tammy's house, specially when things were going so great, until August came around. Well, one Thursday night, I came home to this letter, which was really three pages of rules I would have to follow if I continually lived in her house and the second that I read that, Tammy and I never said a word to each other. So I was living in her home for a whole month, without her saying a single word to me and I never felt welcome, so I after discussing it with the folks, I decided to look for a place on my own. Tammy is a good person and all, but I didn't want to have a second mother and not even my own Mudder would have done that to me, so I had no other choice, but leave. Tammy might have other thoughts about that, but it's over now and life goes on.

I will also comment on the Great Labour Day Long Weekend I had. Saturday afternoon, my friend Shannon, Tiffany, and I went to take a drive to Mahers (which sounds like "Mars") to meet up with Ken and Andrea, to go camping on Fatty's land in that area. It was a beautiful spot, with lots of nature around and couldn't ask for better weather. It was chilly at nights, but if you seen my arms and face, it was super hot in the days where I am burnt to a crisp and a little sore because of it. Oh well, my fault for not wearing sunblock. So Saturday, Ken, Andrea, Shannon, Tiffany, Myself, Brewer, and Ally stayed the night and we had a great fire and self-made bbq as well. It was the first time I had corn done on te bbq and it is highly recommended it because it tasted great and the potatoes, onion/mushrooms, and caribou also tasted great. You can tell, we had a feed. So the next morning, Brewer and Ally left because Brewer had to work unfortunately and couldn't call in sick because he told his boss he was going camping te night before. Shannon, Tiffany, and I took a trip to Whitbourne and to find out nothing is open on Sundays, so we wended up going to the gas station for more supplies. After we got back, Ken and Andrea went for a few hours on quad and I relaxed infront of the lake, trying to get pictures of the loon there. The loon was huge and when I got back, Shannon was sleep in the tent and Tiffany was just relaxing infront of the fire wondering where I went. So that night, we had an other feed of bbq chicken, honey galrlic noodles, and garlic bread. Just say, we don't go hungry when we camp. That night it was also great, we all sat around the fire and at one point, Ken wanted to play the "Window Game". I sucked ass at it, so Ken kicked me out of the window because I do not know any nursery rhymes. It was fun though and Ken and I played with sticks that was caught on fire, where Andrea got some awesome pics of as well. I can't wait to see them. When Monday came around, the summer came to an end and Ken and Adrea wenth their seperate ways, back to Placentia and us back to St. John's. So the camping gear is packed away, until next summer. I have to say though, it definitely got used over this summer, with 4 camping trips in total and I loved it all. Even though summer is technically not over, we ended it with a great time, with good friends.

I was going to end this posting with a little bit about work as well, but why ruin a good thing. That's it for now. Peace Out!!!

August: So Far, So Good

Hey Fellow Readers and Friends,

It has been a while since I typed up a new posting on this blog. Sorry for the wait, but I never stopped in the past few weeks with Work, Denica and Chad's Wedding Weekend, My Parents Visit, and other stuff in between. I really don't know where to start, so I am going to start off with the highlights of August and go from there:

August 3rd brought 6 months of soberness to my life. I am sure some of you guys may read this and be like, “who cares”. However, I really feel it is a big accomplishment for me knowing it is getting easier and easier as time goes by. I am not saying I will never drink again, but I won’t be for a long time, until I know how to control it at a reasonable way. I think that is fare for my friends and my loved ones who care about my safety. In addition, knowing I can get people to their homes safely, it is an extra bonus. I did find it hard at times being around the stuff, but I enjoy going out having a great time and one of the best times I had during the summer was at Denica and Chad’s wedding.

Denica and Chad’s wedding was on August 12th and Tiffany and I left on Friday morning with a friend from work and from Tiffany’s high school graduation class, Janelle. It was a good drive down and we stopped in Marystown where Janelle met up with her mother and Tiffany and I went to Golden Sands. We only enjoyed the beach for an hour or so because it was too wind, but we had a game of mini-golf there. That course might as well be made for PGA players because it is super hard, but I still won, hehehe… After Golden Sands, we went down the road and went to Winterland’s Ecomuseum and that was very nice. Then we were off to Tiffany’s hometown for Sharon’s clubhouse sandwiches and cheesecake. We did take a detour through Frenchman’s Cove because I wanted to take pictures on the way. I can easily sum up the rest of the night by saying, after we got to Tiffany’s Nan’s place, I basically passed out at 7pm or so. I was super tired from the night before where Tiffany and I only got a few hours sleep. Saturday was the day of the wedding and it started off shitty by raining, but by the end of the day, you couldn’t ask for it to be any better. Denica and Chad’s wedding was short, but very nice, the way I like it. After that, Lacey, Jason, Janelle, and I went back to Sharon’s for more cheesecake. There is a trend there for the weekend and to be honest with you, anytime I have been to Grand Bank with Tiffany, I can’t miss out on the greatness. After that, Tiffany and I went back to her Nan’s and relaxed a bit before the reception. The reception was done up really nice and the speeches were really good. After that, came a gathering at one of Tiffany’s friends place and the dance. I am not really going to comment on the dance because the music was a little outdated. However, hanging out with her friends was a lot of fun, they are all good people. The next day, we visited Tiffany’s Aunts and went out with lunch with them and that was fun and I picked up my Triple Chocolate Cheesecake from Sharon’s (see, I told you there was a trend) and then picked up Stephanie and her baby and Janelle. It was full car on the way back to Goobies, but lots of fun and the baby is so cute. I have to say this though, I never met a more mature, young mother like Stephanie, and she is really good with her daughter. Congrats to the bride and groom!!!

August 15th was a great day and there are two reasons for that. I called this day the “Golden Month-A-Versary” because it was on the 15th of August and it was Tiffany’s and mine 15th months of being together. Everyone already knows how much I love this girl and to spend the past 15 months with her was simply amazing. All of her friends comments on how we never stop from all the pictures we take. I guess we try and keep track of all the memorable memories we had together and we get to show them to our friends and rub it in a bit. You all have to remember though; we do this in between both of our hectic schedules, more being Tiffany’s though with school. I promised her a great summer and I really hope I kept my promise while the summer is coming to an end. August 15th also the date my parents showed up and I am glad to spend the next three whole days with them. Wednesday, we didn’t do too much, but go from store to store and do some window-shopping because we didn’t really buy much. That night, I got to meet the newest member of my family, Emily Smith. Logan now has a baby sister and she is the cutest, but how can you expect any less with out genes, hehehe… Thursday, Tiffany met up with us downtown and we drove around this area, from Ocean Sciences Center to Pouch Cove. It was a really nice day and got lots of nice pictures. Later that night we had Boston Pizza and it was a great feed. Friday, was the best part of my parents visit and I am sure Tiffany would agree with me as well because we got to go camping again and it was a trip back to LaManche. About a year ago, there was a posting on LaManche and I think this trip was even better because we got to do hikes, one to LaManche Falls and the other to LaManche Village. We also took a drive to Ferryland and seen the Colony of the Avalon. A lot more was done this year, than last year. The barbeque we had that night was one of the best I ever had, it was great and I could not stop eating. It goes the same for the breakfast we had the next morning as well. Saturday and Sunday, I had to work, but I got to see my parents before they left on Sunday and I am lucky to have great parents like them.

Today I got to spend some time with my great friend from Acadia, Jill and her boyfriend Dave and we went out and played some mini-golf first and I won’t comment on the scores because it was an embarrassment, hahaha… Not for me though. After that, I went to the Fluvarium and got to see some fish swimming around underground, through some glass. It was cool. Hoping for more great times with them, while they are here in Newfoundland.

So that was pretty much all the good times of August. Work is the same and I am still on this CAP (Correction Action Plan) till mid-October. Atleast now I am allowed to do offline work now for being a good boy for 3 weeks. Thanks to Mel, I am still there, but a new challenge comes with a new Team Leader, but I am sure I will be fine. I really like helping out on the floor though.

At “home”, notice I did that in quotations? More like I place I am concealed to my room because of a note of rules that was laid on my bed about two weeks ago and Tammy and I haven’t talked since. I am not going into detail about the note because its foolishness. I got nothing against the girl, but a 27-year-old woman cannot be my second mother. I am not going to go on and on and bash her because there isn’t much bad I can say about her. She is a good person, but got to loosen up a bit, or she is going to loose a close friend. It’s funny though; it was only a month ago she had a dream about us getting into a big fight and me moving out. I am not moving out anytime soon, but if I took advice from my friends and family, I would have been gone by now. Oh well, I still have time.

So that’s about it for now and hope it wasn’t too long to read. If you really think about it, it takes me longer to type it up, than to read it. My fingers are getting sore, so I am ending this now. I am going to pray for good weather for Labor Day Weekend because our friends are planning on going on a weekend camping trip and it is my forced weekend off, so cross your fingers. I am the luckiest guy in the world in having such a great girlfriend in Tiffany and never quit Babes, even if sometimes you are faced with a Bitch!!!!! Next time, take her outside, hehehe…

Peace Out!!!

This One Won't Be Deleted

As some of the readers of this blog may have noticed that two of my postings were deleted from my blog. It was a result in almost getting terminated from work (not allowed to say where I work, but majority of my readers knows anyways) and now on some sort of correction plan for three months. Oh well, the point was proven to a tee anyways. Some people just take their job more personally and professionally, but what can I do? Other than what happened there, I am still surving there and lately we have been very busy with the large call volume due to the low staffing (NO COMMENT) and outages in the Markets that we deal with. Being on the phones does help the day go by quicker though and I really do enjoy talking to my peeps and the customers at times. Enough about work though, might as well get to the good things in my life.

Since I got back from vacation, the weather has simply has been amazing, except for a few days of rain, but it has been hot, that's for sure and a plus really. I like heat, but not too much if it, while Tiffany is enjoying every second of it, well as much as possible anyways in between school and studies. Things with Tiffany and I are still going great. Last week she called me from school when she was on a lunch break and she sounded very upset, so I went straight to the store and bought her a bouquette of flowers for her to go home to and smile. It worked like a charm, even those she keeps stating that she doesn't derserve me. It's definitely not true though, I tell she deserves all the great things that comes her way. I love her to death. I was off the past weekend, so I picked her up Friday night and we just basically came home because I was drained after weekend all week and she was sore from walking all day, but it was nice to have her sleeping next to me as always. Saturday we went to see my baby cousin Logan and he just keeps growing so big. He is only a year and a half old really, but a growing boy and now shows off for visitors and it was fun playing around with him. In a few more weeks I will have an other addition to my large family where my Aunt Wanda is pregnant again and Logan will have a younger sister and I can't wait to see her. Aunt Wanda, Craig, and Logan is prettymuch my family around here where majortiy of them lives in Labrador still, so I try and visit them as much as possible. After the visit, Tiffany and I stoped a few stores, until Tiffany experienced a migraine, so we came home where she rested for a few hours. After those few hours, she felt good and we met up with her friends Robyn (and family) and Alf at Middle Cove for a fire on the beach. I loved it and Robyn and Alf are great people, I will say that and hope to spend more time with them before they go back teaching in Quatar. After the fire on the beach, Tiffany and I went to see Pirates of the Carribean: Deadman's Chest and I really liked it. I liked it better than the first because of the story line (set up for the third movie), fighting scenes, and it was really funny as well. Then this morning I cooked her breakfast and dropped her off so she could do more studies. She really enjoys what she is doing now for clinical and I am so proud of her that she is doing well. For the rest of the day, I lazed around.

So nothing too exciting in my life right now. George Street Festival is coming up, but not sure if I am going to go or not any of the nights. Thursday night, people from work are thinking about going to Breakers, always a thought, but being around drunk people is hard at times when being sober. Yes, I still never had a sip of alcohol since February 3rd and still going strong, almost half a year now. Tiffany says she is proud of me and Teri said the same thing tonight, so always a great feeling having support. August will be a good month though, I get to go to one of Tiffany's friends wedding and my parents will be here for a visit and I rarely get to see them, so that means a lot. Hope you enjoyed the read, I am off to bed.

The Buzz...

So my last posting created a pretty big buzz around work and from some of the comments on my blog, I do see some people do disagree and everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, from all the supporters that came up to me at work, it was good to finally let those words off my chest and if those words seemed harmful to a selective few, I do apologize, but I meant every word I said in that blog and not backing down on it.

Tonight I realized from talking to a good friend from work, now a trainer; the reason I keep going back is because of the people who I work with. I realized that a long time ago, but my peeps is what makes the job interesting. There are so many, old and new, that can just make the job fun and easier to come to work everyday, even though it is hard to walk through those doors at times. Even harder lately because of my hours and the super hot weather. Enough about work though, sick of that topic.

Other than work, my life has been great. Tiffany has been busy with school and liking working in the Janeway with the kids. I am very happy that she found something she liked with nursing because that was one of her worries in doing this course. She always work hard and I am very proud of her. Today we decided to go for a walk around Bowring Park and it was so beautiful out and super hot and it was only morning by that point. The only downfall lately is with my new schedules, I am not seeing her as much, but she always find time for me and I am totally grateful for that. Can you tell I Love this girl? If not, you must be illiterate, from all my postings on this blog. I know she won't be reading this in the morning because of school, but when she does read it. You're the best Babes!!!!!

Other than Tiff and work, I have not been doing much else. I am planning on playing some badminton soon and learning how to play tennis hopefully. I got a very old friend agreeing to join me. This weekend, I am planning on doing that hike I have been looking forward to for almost a year now and I am just pumped for it. It might be for most of the day, but I am sure it'll be worth it from the little portion I already have done on it to Deadman's Bay. I also did a part of it with an old girl from work named Katie. Hoping to have a few join Tiff and I as well. Other plans in the near future will be going to Northern Bay Sands at some point where Tiffany was there Saturday and told me I really need to see the place. I think on my next day off alone, I might end up at Manual's River to look for a few fossils. August will bring my parents and going to a wedding in Burin as well for Tiff's friend. She gets to show me off, hahaha......

Well, it's getting late, so I am off to bed. Peace Out everyone.

Great Vacation

Well, today is my last day of my vacation and I must say, it was a great one and there were many reasons behind that and I will go into that in a bit. I am just going to start by describing what actually happened first.

It all started from picking up a girl on the corner of MacDonald Dr. and Logy Bay Rd. and her name was Tiffany and I brought her places that she has never been before and what a time we had doing them, hehehe... So we left on Tuesday (June 20th) and headed to Grand Falls, NL. When we got there, we went to Beothuk Park and chose our campsite for the week. At first, one of the owners gave Tiffany and I the third degree because he thought we were there just to party, but turned out to be best kind after that. So we set up our tent and tarp and I got bitten by a red ant, but I was ok. After everything was set up, we went through town and got lost actually because we were following directions from that owner at the campsite which was fun. Grand Falls is definitely an old school town and when we actually found the mall and grocery store, that's when we found out, people from Grand Falls are simply weird and ignorant. We got so many looks, it's not funny and a cashier at Walmart told me get an extension cord with the box and actually told me to run, instead of actually getting someone that worked there to do a price check, what's up with that? Just say we were happy to get back to the campsite that night. We had supper and did other stuff, but went to bed quite early. I am not sure why the owner was worried about Tiffany and I, we were probably the first ones that were sleeping that night. Wednesday (June 21st) morning, make that 4:15am in the morning, I woke up and used the bathroom and could not get back to sleep. Shortly after that, Tiffany woke up and could not get back to sleep as well. So guess what?????? Tiff and I left the campsite around 5:30am in the morning and headed to Tim Hortons (Tim Hortons was definitely on the menu everyday and most days, more than once). To get out of the campsite, I had to open the gate quietly to get out, but it was all good. Yet again, poor customer service where the lady there fucked up the donuts and part of the bagel, but the coffee was GOOD!!!!! Then we were off to Gros Morne National Park. On the way through the park, I decided to keep going where he had some extra time and head to Port Au Choix and see one of my best friends Jill from Acadia University, were she is working at an archaeological site there. It wasn't the best drive ever, I had to go through very thick fog and rain to get there, but from the response from Jill was worth it where she told me she almost cried when she seen me and was excited to finally see a familiar face. Even though the stop was only short, it was a great experience. On the way back, we stopped at a site called "The Arches" where sea arches were formed. We stood in them where it was raining out and Tiffany seemed to enjoyed them and was fascinated in how they were formed. We seen our first moose of the trip just outside of Cow Head and Tiffany ran out of the car to try and take a picture of it, but it ran away, so all we got was the backside of it, but it was funny. Throughout the park, we stopped in random places and took some landscape pictures. Even though it was cloudy and raining at times, still very beautiful there. We stopped in Rocky Harbour for a late lunch and the food at the little restaurant was very tasty and the choices for food was new, no deep fried stuff, which Tiff and I liked very much and thought it was a very good idea. On the way back to the campsite, we had a quick stop in Deer Lake for Tim Horton's once again and Tiffany took over driving for two hours where I was driving all day. We drove in totally 14 hours that day and I needed a break and was very grateful for Tiffany taking over. However, she found out how easy it is to speed in that little Neon of mine. The funny thing was that we only seen the cops twice and it was during the two hours that Tiffany was driving. So when we got back, we were pretty beat and we made supper and soon after that, went to bed. Tiffany basically passed out and my stomach was hurting from all the coffee I crank, but I eventually fell asleep and got to love having a girlfriend as a nurse because even though she was tired, she was concern in how I was feeling and I love that feeling. Thursday (June 22nd), Leon (my brother) woke Tiffany and I up with a phone call stating that he was in Grand Falls. So Tiffany and I both got showers and went to town again and seen some interesting sights like the Mary March Museum and a place where you can see salmon swimming upstream underground through some glass. It was pretty neat watching the fish just swimming around and it would not be to hard to catch one, that is for sure. Leon then wanted to go to Red Indian Adventures to check on the time in which we would be white-water rafting and kayaking the next day. Got to meet the guide named Paul and he was best kind. We went back to the park and Tiffany and I rented out the new paddle boat and Leon tried out the kayak at the lake and we were out in the lake for almost two hours. My legs were tired after that where it was one person paddling boat, where the other could just sit back and relax and Tiffany's famous words of the week were "I am not doing that, I am on vacation". How can I argue to that? It was fun though and we were actually the first ones to use it, so I broke it in. Barely enough room for my legs to paddle, but we made it anyways. When we got back to shore, the other owner (which was the first Newfoundlander to play in the NHL) was there to check how it was. We then enjoyed some games of horseshoes and Frisbee. Rest of the night, we had supper and played card games till midnight and Tiffany got to learn the game of crib and I must say, she picked it pretty quick. The next day (June 23rd), all of us were pretty excited about going white-water rafting and kayaking and when we arrived, we got to meet the guides dogs and they are so cute. They are fairly similar to Lincoln (Tiffany's dog), but not so big. If I was to choose which one to have though, I would have still picked good old Linkers. So we jumped into the bus and drove up to Badger and that is where the tripped started. I got to say the trip was amazing and probably the highlight of the week. Tiffany and I both got a little sunburned where the first part, we just laid back and relaxed while Paul was rowing. The first stop was a place called the "shute" and there was a little swimming hole there. I am not much of a swimmer anymore since an incident back when I was young, so I tried, but chickened out. Tiffany was in there once and she got a little fright at first, but she was ok after that. Leon on the other hand was doing backflips and everything at first. He didn't even have his life-jacket on at first, but he is a strong swimmer, so it was nut much for him really. Then we had to go down through the "shute" and that was awesome. The Paul took us through a few rapids and got Tiffany and I soaked. After all that fun, it was lunch that was made by the wife and it was great. After Lunch, both Paul and Leon had fun in the kayaks and Paul was amazing and showed Leon some tricks. I tried tubing down the rapids a few times and that was ok. The rest of the trip, I rowed the raft and Leon and Paul were in the kayaks and it was nice and relaxing. Tiffany tried rowing also and found out it was a lot harder than she thought, but she did good as well. After the trip, we got to see his house and got changed. Very nice family I must say and amazing house on the river. The rest of the day was more relaxing around the campground for the rest of the day. Saturday (June 24th), we packed up and went to Gander and met up with my cousin Dwayne and Jill and Tiff's friend from home named Stephanie. It was great seeing Dwayne again where it has been a long time since I seen him last. Stephanie was one of Tiffany's good friends I have been waiting to meet since we started dating over a year ago and she is a really nice girl and a very good mother to her child. Her baby is so cute and not shy at all where she went right to Tiffany's arms. So that night, both parties were drinking and we went to both and all of us ended up to a bar named Legends. It was a very fun night and got a lot of drunken pictures of family and friends where I was the sober one. Leon was trying to pick up some girls, but the only one he ended up picking up with Dwayne's dog named Tyson. I have a great video of the whole bunch. The next morning (June 25th), I cooked breakfast for Leon, Dwayne, and myself and then back on the road back to home. We stopped for a few more pictures, but that's about it. So you can see that we had a full-filled, not stop week of fun and it the break was amazing and I am sure Tiffany will agree with that.

I was still of for the next two days, but Leon and I just basically hung out and went to stores so he can buy a bunch of shit and today we went and did some mini-golf. I won at Pippy Park, but he won at the place on MacDonald Dr. So if you want to check out pictures of the trip, either check out mine or Tiffany's MSN Space.

So just before the whole vacation even started, one of my closest friends named Karma told me this would be my first glimpse of married life with Tiffany where it was our first time we got to spend anytime together without work or school involved, even though we have been dating for over a year. Well if that was my first glimpse of married life, I can't wait for my future. Don't worry Tiffany, I am not proposing anytime soon, but majority of the week was amazing because you were there right next to me to enjoy it with me. I know we had a few misunderstandings, but if you compared that to the time we had fun. Hell, fun would be 99% if the time. So if my future involves in having the best of girlfriends next to me, I can't wait to see what more great memories we create together. You got to love to hear family loving her as well. Quote: "We love that girl, she is a lot better than that other girl you were dating back a few years ago, she was stuck up, but Tiffany is great and don't lose her". It's so true though when I look back and see that and I don't plan on losing Tiffany anytime soon or ever even. Love You Tiffany!!!!! Hoped you enjoyed the flowers, favorite picture of the trip, and not I left you today. I figured you needed a smile after 12 hours of school.

Hope everyone enjoyed the read and I will be posting in the near future I suppose.

Peace Out, Corey

Goodluck!!!!!

This is going to be a short blog, but an important one either way. See, I am dedicating this posting to a very important girl in my life that is going through a very stressful time in her life. I figure where she’ll be studying all day for the final exam and she’ll need a break and a smile and hopefully by the end of this, some confidence in herself as well. So if you don’t want to read a posting totally dedicated to Tiffany, feel free to stop reading anytime, but if you want to leave a comment, please do so.

Well Babes, this is for you. When I told you that I will always be there for you with love and support, I meant every word of it and willing to show you in anyway. This being one of them. I am going to start off saying that I am the luckiest boyfriend in the world having you as my girlfriend and I never been happier. In the past week, I was talking to both of my closest friends I probably have from Churchill Falls and they can’t wait to finally meet you. One being the Bleeman (Blair) and this guy I grew up with my whole life even in university and probably knows me better than anyone else, except for you Tiff. It was the first time I talked to him in ages, but he just got back from his honeymoon and I seen how happy he was. Then he commented on how lucky the both of us are and I agree 100% with him because it’s true. So he is planning to come back to the Rock and really would love to meet you. My other good friend being Mindy. She is coming down in a few weeks and you’ll have to meet this girl. We probably didn’t become close until I moved away, but have been best buddies since. See both of these people see how amazing you are, just from the words I type and in the words I speak towards you. None of these words are lies, but the truth. Your closest friends like the nursing students, the old gang, old workmates, and myself see that you are smart, beautiful, fun, outgoing, spirited, giving, caring, loving, and so much more that is great about you. So you might as well accept it. You’re simply not a quitter and I’ll never quit on you. See you’re not alone this time and I am here for you from day to night.

I know it has been a hard week with school and all and it has been draining you out, but we have a full week ahead of us to put that behind you. Hell, I can’t wait to get a break from work and to spend a whole week with you is 99.99% of the reason I have been looking forward for this vacation in months now. Since you told me you had a whole week off in June, it did not take me long put vacation in and I promise you that nothing will ruin it. I don’t care what the weather is like; we’ll find stuff to do. Gros Morne and Exploits Valley is coming and I can’t wait.

So I hope this puts a smile on your face Tiffa and gives you a little bit more of confidence in yourself that you’ll do great on this exam coming up. Oh wait, great is not on the grading scale, it is either excellent or shitty. So I hope you do excellent. Just remember one thing, "There may be one or two reasons to frown but there are still a million reasons to smile." (stole this off Jennie)

LOVES YAH!!!!!

4 Months

Well, I almost forgot among the excitement of the weekend, that June 3rd has gone by and that means I have now been sober for 4 months now. That is one third of a year and I find that my friends and specialy girlfriend has been very supportive of my decision of being dry. Even though at times it has been tough, I never thought twice in even having a sip. Many people must think I was an alcoholic before and that's not the case, but when I drank, I drank just too much and usually during a short period of time. Lot of cases, I got out of hand and after February 3rd, I poured down 1/4 of a 40oz of rum and just gave up. Not a big deal really, I still feel that I still have a good time downtwon and get down with the girl. Yes, Tiffany, that's you and in a lot of cases she does down further than me. Plus, being a sober driver has a few pluses. The first one and most important one, I get my close friends home safely. The other thing is that we save money where we don't have to take cabs anymore.

So I am proud of myself, even though a few people still see my as otherwise. It's not as easy as you think, but it is not that hard either. Thanks to my friends and girlfriend for not forcing it around me, very appreciative. I am one lucky guy.

Best Weekend In A Long Time

I am not saying that my previous weekends has not been great, but this one was just amazing and I dedicate it to Tiffany. The reason I dedicate it to her is because lately she has been so stressed out with everything (school, family, other things, and etc...) and I wanted her to get away from it all and just relax and have fun in the same process. She definitely deserved it and I know she was very appreciated of it. So Lara, sorry we missed your birthday, but I really hope you had a great one either way. So I also hear that Beth was praying for rain so we couldn't go, but it hit kinda late, but definitely made this morning a hectic one in packing all of our gear up while it was pouring. So Beth, I think you should start working on a rain dance, hehehe... I can teach you from my native ways. So Tiffany and I had a weekend out of the city and let me tell the highlights of the trip:

Friday, I picked up Tiffany from school and we went directly to the mall because Tiffany needed her fix of coffee to stay awake and this was also a common scene of the weekend as well, but you got to love her with the substence in her because she is just happy and energetic when it comes in contact with her. It's so funny. So we then got to Botter Pot around 30 mins later and what a beautiful spot. It's like going into a valley with a huge lake, brooks, lots of trees, and when we got out of the car, lots of black flies. It really didn't bother me much, but not a highlight on Tiffany's trip, that is for sure. Just say, when I bring her to Labrador, it will be in the Winter, that's for sure. So we got out new awesome tent up and everything unpacked and cooked supper. After supper, we went for a walk and then went back to the tent to relax for the rest of the night. Somthing I won't forget about that night is "do you know who this is?" while getting a phone call from a girl that spells her name with a "-" and without an "e" and I thought she was drunk at first, but found out later she was actually driving that night. So Lee-Ann, you are pretty much the same as drunk and sober and I do have you daved on my phone, next time, don't block the caller id. Satuday morning, we woke up and had a great breakfast and started a trip to Cape St. Mary's. It was a very beautiful day, but like my little hiking book stated, never believe the weather, unil you actually make it out there and it was so true, we hit a very fogy coast, but it was still warm. Cape St. Mary's was a sight I wanted to see since I came to the Rock and it was definitely worth the trip. I was just amazed from the large amounts of birds on one cliff, it was nuts. I also never realized how be Gannets were until I seen then close by. Tiffany also noticed two of them having sex, don't even ask? The birds were cool, but I didn't really expect to see a goat and sheep walking around. You had to be really carefull where you were walking or you could just step in poo. In addition, it smelt there. So Tiffany and I ate our lunch there and made a stop at the Gannet's nest, which is a restaurant near Cape St. Mary's for Tiffany to get a coffee. I also stole some water to fill up my cooler as well. A very productive stop we'll say. On the way back, we made two stops. One being Colinet and ther other being SalmonierNature Park. Colinet is a home of one of my friends from work and I decided to suprise her with a few pictures, evne one of me infront of her house with the anchor and it so worked out. I think the highlight of the day though is Salmonier Nature Park. Tiffany told me that we should go there on the way back and I definitely was not disappointed. I got to see so many animals like, owls, groundhogs, eagles, moose, caribou, geese, rabbits, foxes, hawks, minks, and more I am sure. Great choice Babes. Later we got back to the camp site and seen some more wildlife like an other rabbit and a chipmunk. We ended the night infront of a fire and just relaxed. Then came this morning, where it rained and we packed up our gear and left, but the rain can't over shadow the amazing weekend we had.

That was the weekend and even though it was a great camping trip, there is an other one planned in a few weeks out in Central Newfoundland and it will be close to a week and we both can't wait. Just bring it.

Well, back to work tomorrow and work is still going fine. I really can't say I spent much time on the phone lately, but I am very happy to help out the CDP/CDV rep.'s and taking escalations are alright. I am sure many people at work must think, who am I sucking up too? No one, I just show up to work everyday and I feel I know what I am doing and if I am not sure about something, just ask. The best thing about work though, is the people, Without the people, Convergys is not a place to work. Lots of variety of people and many friends there and I really can't complain too much about the place, it is where I met Tiffany and all and we all know how that turned out.

Earlier this week, I got accepted to go to CONA and now only have a week to figure out if I could go or not because of financial reasons and the deadline to send back the acceptance letter is June 9th. I got accepted to do Geomatics Engineering, so I could stick with my geology ways, but not sure I could afford it or not. It sucks that you have to pay for education and I would like to do more, but I am happy to stick with Geology. Geology is more than a career for me, it's a hobby of mine as well. So I keep applying for jobs that comes my way, nothing in two years, but I am not quitting. "6 Years Represent!"

So my life is good. Great, amazing, and beautiful girlfriend that appriciates me for me and more than a year of good memories and sure more to come. The bro is coming down in the end of the month for his vacation. Week long camping trip in a few weeks. If you want to se pics, feel free to check out my MSN SPace. That's it for now, hope you enjoyed the long read.

I Failed In The Kitchen

So the title of the day is "I Failed In The Kitchen". So it wasn't the best start of the day where I didn't have all the right ingredients to make French toast, so I tried to improvise, but the end result was that Tiffany and I didn't really eat it all. Tiffany was like, out of the thousands of time I cooked for her, I messed up once and she still got to have her bagel and coffee from Tim's. I might have to go there myself pretty soon. So today started off on the wrong foot, but not all bad where I realised that it doesn't matter what goes wrong, I still have my Babes to try and make me smile and it's pretty hard to resist to that smile of hers. I really love that girl. Prime example, for those who does not have access to her blog, this is one of the things she wrote about me on her most recent posting up to date: #6) COREY! You get your own section baby. And trust me, you're really #1, but I wanted to leave the best for last. What would I do without this man in my life?? I don't really even wanna think about it because he is amazing and such a fantastic boyfriend and always there for me.... *SIGH* IN LOVE!!!! It's hard not to think about the future at times, but for how things are going with us, I see things going very well with us. Right now though, we're still young and have a lot more great memories coming our way. I am not sure how amazing and fantastic I am, but I am very happy she sees me like that. From my end, I think I have this amazingly beautiful women in my life that I would pretty much do anything for and one day, I really hope she see's herself through my eyes. If not, I will be there to show her. Loves Yah Babes!!!!!

So if you haven't guess yet, I am actually here at work, like the last few times I have typed in my Blog. So work is goinf good for me, I got my PA back and got 21/25, which is a Quality Plus. For those who does not understand this, it helps me with my raises and now scheduling. I was very pleased, even though many thinks I should have a Key, but oh well, not going to argue because that gets you no where here at Convergys. The only thing that gets you far in this place is kissing ass or don't do your job. In the last month or so I have been doing a lot of floor support, so I haven't spent much time on the phones, except for escalations, but I don't mind. Escalations are fun most of the time because most of them think I am more senior than the agents previously speaking with them, but in most cases, not. My perfect attendance also got me a day off with pay, so my next force weekend off, I am taking that Friday off and it looks like Tiffany and I will be going camping in Botter Pot if the weather is nice. So I am crossing my fingers.

So Friday and Saturday was loads of fun. Friday, Tiffany and I went downtwon with just the two of us and that is something we haven't done since last summer really and I had a really fun time. i picked her up after I got off work and we went to Lotties first thinking there was a place we could sit down and relax, but there was no chairs by the tables, so we stood and chatted. We also laughed at the three girls at the next table, two of them matching and then a drunk guy wasted a beer all over them, I thought it was funny anyways. After Lotties, we went to The Republic and sat down, while chatted some more and watched part of the hockey game, where Edmonton WON!!!!! My roommate Ang showed up for a brief amount of time as well. Then we went to Peddlers and I am affraid to say, IT SUCKED ASS!!!!! We were there till almost 1am, and no one was there at all. So we went to the Sundance and there was loads of people there and danced for most of the night and I had a blast. So difference being in these bars sober, but Tiffany says I am still as fun, so I am happy that she feels that way. After the Sundance we went home and had something to eat and..... The next day, we slept in and Tiffany took me to the Bagel Cafe downtown and the food was great. We went to the mall, then took a hike around the Battery/Signal Hill and it was great. After the hike, we went out to where Tiffany's and my friends were camping for the weekend and roasted some wieners for hotdogs and it was sooooo good!!!!! After the day out in the sun, we were pretty beat and smelling like smoke when we got home, so I relaxed, while Tiffany worked on her assignment. Overall, an other great weekend.

The thing I really can't wait for is.....JUNE!!!!! So far it looks like June will be the month of the summer where Tiffany and I are planning on going camping a few times with all the new gear we got now. Should be loads of fun for the two of us just to get out of town and just relax and go hiking and do other stuff. In late June, we'll be camping in Central and meeting up with the bro and possibly doing some white-water rafting as well and I can't wait. I know Tiffany is definitely looking foward to it because she gets a week off of school. A well deserve break for that girl that works so hard, but doing really great, I am proud to say. So bring on June!!!!!

That's it for now, time to actually do some work,
Silly Scruffy Head

1 Year Baby!!!!!

So yesterday was Tiffany's and my first year anniversary and I got to say that I never been happier. My first idea for this post was to list all the great memories that happened during that time frame, but I figure my closest friends will already know and for those people who reads my Blog would have already read about them. However, I am not sure how many people actually reads my blog because no one ever leaves comments, hehehehehe..... So I am going to just keep this one short and sweet, but to the point. I see Tiffany's and my relationship very strong and see it lasting for a long time, hoping anyways. What this girl sees in me, who knows? Except for the personal chef, maid, chauffeur, comedian, scratching post, but she reminds me everyday how much she loves me and that is all that matters to me. If you met us about a year ago, I am sure many would be thinking if we would last or not and WE DID!!!!! I am the luckiest guy in the world to have a super smart, hard working, beautiful, funny, generous, kind, caring, outgoing, and simply an amazing girlfriend (she'll be reading this and be thinking, who is he talking about, but there is only one Tiffany in my life). As you can tell I am very happy in where I am in life and it's nice being in a relationship that is not one-sided, we are there for each other, no matter what.

One year over, bring on the rest.....Loves Yah Tiffany!!!!!

Three Months To A Year

"Three Months To A Year" Well, let me explain the title of this blog first..... When May 3rd came around, I have been dry for three months and I'll talk about how that is going in a little bit. When May 15 comes, I have been going out with this simply amazing girl for a year and in that year, there is a lifetime worth of memories that I'll never forget and I am sure more to come.

So things with Tiffany and I are still going strong and this summer is going to bring a lot more great times I am sure. I love the sun because my Tiffa is always in a better mood and even though she'll be going to school troughout the summer, I did promise her a great summer either way and I plan on keeping that promise. Since the last blog, Tiffany and I did celebrate our b-day's together and so many people showed up to our party down to The Republic. I think we filled the whole back of the bar actually. There were peeps from work, nursing students, and friends all around and it was great to have so many people show up. My father was also down that weekend and I don't know how much we ate out, but I think I am still full, hehehe..... I got a new tent and Coleman stove for my birthday, which leads to a camping trip in June and I can't wait. Tiffany and I are planning on going to Central Newfoundland for a week and eventually meeting up with my bro that is coming down for a vacation away from Churchill Falls, Labrador. Right now, there are still lots of planning to do, but it looks like we'll be doing white-water rafting, while the bro will be going down in his white-water kayak. I can't wait really and I am pretty sure Tiffany is looking for a well needed break. School can be stressfull, but I am very proud to say that my Babes got straight A's in her courses that she just finished in the Spring. I now owe Tiffany a meal for that as well. However, it was a win-win situation anyways, if she didn't get straight A's, I would take her out to make her feel better and if she did, I would take her out to celebrate. The last two weekends has been full-filled entertainment as well, even though I had to work. Last Saturday night (not last night), a few of us went downtown to O'Rieley's to see the Navigator's play and that was a night of dancing for me. The past Friday, Stephanie had a bbq and the food was very yummie, specially the steaks that Tiffany and I had marinating over night. It was so tender and tastey. After the bbq, we went to my friend's Lisa's place and got to see some old faces from The Canoe Regatta in Goose Bay, Labrador. Lisa and her twin sister Kim are both very nice people, that I enjoy talking too and hanging out with, the few times I was back in Goose bay over the previous 5 years or so. Michele I have been keeping in touch with as well, even though her family moved out in Newfoundland. Even my little cousin Terri was there. So it was a great time seeing all of those people again. Last night I went to my first turkey fry. Yes, a turkey fry. They actually deep fry a turkey on a propane burner outside for like 40 minutes, but it turned out great, I was quite suprised actually. I was very shy because I was around people I never really knew, but it was still nice to be invited. After the bbq, I picked up my friend Shannon and we went to my friend's Courtney's place for a party, where majority of the nursing students were there. Some of them that I met for the first time, but they all knew me from Tiffany talking about me a lot (hopefully all good) and the pictures from her MSN Space. It was loads of fun though and I enjoy partying with them, they are all good people. Then we went to Lotties, but only stayed for a short while where Tiffany got beer spilt on her and a girl stepping on her toe, but I had to work today either way, so I'm glad we got to leave a little earlier.

So I am sure a few people are wondering how the not-drinking part is going after going downtown and to all these parties. Well, I did find it hard at times, but having people coming up to me telling me that they are impressed and happy for me, it's not that bad. I think beer is the hardest to be around though because it is sooooo good, but never tempted to even take a sip really. I guess my will is pretty strong, but it is already worth it. I am noticing I have been saving money and I got to buy all the nice ladies drinks last night, which were the nurses ofcourse.

While, I am here at work, I might as well talk about that a little. I still have perfect attendence in the New Year and I can't wait for my vacation in June because I am beginning to drain out here. Kind of tempting to call in sick today where I had the two last days off and off tomorrow, but I didn't. Could of had a four day weekend out of it, but oh well. I can't really complain because I get to do a lot of offline stuff like floor support. The only thing with floor suppport that many don't like is taking escalations, but I haven't been minding that much. Customer's seems to calm down a bit thinking that you are a senior agent. My shifts seems to be getting a little later and not sure what the reasoning behind that is, but hope that will be fixed soon.

So my life is going very well overall and I can't wait for tonight, to have some of Tiffany's chilli.

Peace Out, C-unit

Wet Or Dry?

Wet or Dry? Try being Dry since February 3rd and many people might be thinking, so what? Well, who ever knows me well, that's a pretty big deal, but I got to say, it is not as hard that I thought it would be when I decided to quit drinking. Since then, I have been around it and even though beer looks so appealing at times, I was never tempted to even take a sip of it. I think St. Paddy's will be the true test, but I know I will pass with flying colors. I know Tiffany worries about drinking around me now, but she has nothing to worry about it because I know that'll just mean I'll get more hug and kisses from my Loved One and there is definitely nothing wrong with that. So for those who was wondering how I was doing in that department, I am doing really well.

So it has been over a month since I last typed up a blog and the last one was a little depressing. So lets try to liven this one up a bit. Tiffany and I are still doing great and I can't ask for a better and understanding girlfriend. I feel (and I am sure she feels the same way) that things actually stronger between the two of us in the past month or so. We are always there for each other's support, but seems like she is needing it more these days, but I never think twice about it. A couple of weekends ago, I was in Grand Bank for Tiffany and her family because her grandmother passed away. I can tell she really appreciated me taking the time to be there for her and "thank you", after "thank you" definitely showed it, hehehe... I got to meet more of her family, including her father for the first time and it went well. Even got to babysat some of her little cousins and they were bundles of energy and louds of fun. I don't know if I commented on Linc (Tiffany's new dog) before in this blog, but if not, here goes: at first, it all started off with a bad experience, but gradually got better, and now he's a lot better around me. Tiffany and her mom says I have a lot of patience around him because he is dumb at times, but he is learning. It's not his fault though, he had a bad past, but he is very lovable and has a great family taking care of him. So, yeah, Tiffany is just with me for my cooking and cleaning... Yeah right, I know there are many more reasons that that. I Love Tiffa SO MUCH!!!!! The sex is great!

So my relationship is going great as you can tell, now on to work. So far I have perfect attendance there since the New Year. You might be thinking that it is going good then, well latley t has been a pain in the ass where people around you are never on the phones, while you are taking 50 calls a night. Nothing I can do about that though, just do my job. I still say the best part of the job is seeing the people I work with and that the one thing that keeps me sane. The other thing is knowing that Americans will always be a good comic relief for me, hahaha...

What to look for in the future? Well, this weekend coming up is St. Paddy's Day and the Nursing Ball. It'll be nice to spend time with Tiffany and for her not worrying about school for a day or so. I got a new suit and will be getting my haircut Thursday night, so Tiffany will be going with the hottest guy there and vise versa. I have also been thinking a lot about going back to school and doing Geomatics Engineering. We'll see what happens.

That's all folks, Peace Out,
Corey

Staying Sober

Well, I know my web adress for my blog is http://acadiaalchie.blogspot.com, but since Friday night, that should change. I am not going to into much detail about it because I only know what happened from what others told me. Yes, the whole night was a black-out for me and all I remember is being here right after picking up Tiffany, Annie, and Shannon from the Nursing Mixer and waking up the next morning. Anything in the middle is a total mind block. I just finished readying Steph's blog (one of Tiffany's best friends) and she thought it was her fault, but Steph, that's not true at all. If it wasn't for you, who knows what I would of done.

For those who saw me that night, all I can say, it wasn't me and I am so sorry. I like to believe that I am that guy with that huge heart, that my close friends told me I had. I have been that drunk before, but never had someone like Tiffany next to me to make me realise there is more than life to waste it away with a drink. So Saturday morning, I poured out the rum and decided that I am going sober for a long while yet. I love her more than life and she stuck with me the whole weekend to show me that she loved me back. I just finished readying Tiffany's most recent blog as well, and she made a comment about her not deserving me, but I honestly think it is the other way around, but glad we're still together. I am one LUCKY Scruffy!!!!! However, she knew it wasn't me and there was too many great memories to give up over one mistake.

So to cut this short, I just wanted to say, for those friends of mine who reads this blog, if you have a significant other who you love, treat her/him as gold because one day they might not be around. I went through my first 20 years without a sip of alcohol and it all started because of a girl, now it is going to end because of one, hehehe... But, trust me, it was the easiest decision I ever made.

Thanks to Tammy, Ang, Steph, Shannon, and ofcourse Tiffany for showing me the way.

Peace Out, Corey
