Real Sickness to Love Sickness

Right now my girlfriend Tiffany is on her way to Churchill Falls, Labrador. Already, I am missing her dearly and it is going to be lonely around here for the next 3 weeks or so. It's not a really long time (Thank God for that), but with Tiffany, she is more than my girlfriend, she is so much more than that, a best friend as well. We do everything together and the past few days we hung out, it has been super great. She did nothing but smile, just being with me and it's not hard at all to feel the love between us. Not only is she my Love, she is my Care-Giver too. Last Thursday, I probably caught one of the nastiest bugs I ever caught and it actually involved a constant fever for almost four days, till I broke it Monday lunch time. I was boiling hot, yet, I could not stop shivering. I did a lot of sleeping and drinking fluids to feel better and Tiffany kept checking on me and bringing stuff to me that really helped. She was doing this, while studying for her final exam for the nursing program. I think she'll turn out to be an outstanding nurse, as she already is an outstanding person, friend, and significant other.

So right now I am feeling much better, go back to work on Friday, and hope these next few weeks goes by quickly. I am sure there will be a few more postings in April, so you'll just have to wait and see.

Right Words To Say?????

I came to these conclusions tonight about arguments:

- An argument will never be over something stupid because if it is worth arguing about, it means something to a member or members of the party present.
- Arguments usually involve emotions, in which it makes the situation even harder when it is a loved one involved because you don't have time to think about what you are going to say, it just comes out and in most cases, not in the form that you really mean or meant to say.
- Arguments leads to distance. In previous experiences, certain topics of arguments are not to be brought up again, unless you want to argue again.
- Arguments are never easy. You can always argue that the sky is blue, but how many times do you argue over something we know is a fact?

- Final conclusion: I am not very good with arguments. I try and use both my heart and brain at once, but it usually leads to me being a little over dramatic, leaning towards the usage of my heart. I got to learn to accept that I don't know everything and there will be things that will come up that I will never understand (even though you try and try to understand). You just have to listen because sometimes all the other party needs is to left it off his/her chest to feel a little better for themselves and then if they ask for your opinion, give it to them.

The whole reason this topic came up tonight is because, just a while ago Tiffany and I argued about a common topic (not stating what it is because it is no one's business, but ours) and I just spent the past hour or so thinking about it. If you are thinking that Tiffany and I are not together, that is not the case or love each other even less, that is not the case either. I guess what I am trying to say is that, "I don't always have the right words to say" and if you are reading this, you probably know who this is for.

I don't want "anything" to change in my life right now, except for maybe Convergys, but that is a totally different story all together. I love the direction it is going in and finally accepting the thought about my future. All I have to say, this is the girl I love:

Amazing Week In February, Part 2 - "The Boot"

So according to Tiffany, I forgot one important detail about last week and it occurred during the fun in the snow at Pippy Park. I just think she wants to have an other excuse to go show shopping, hehehe..... Like she needs it right? However, it is quite funny in what happened. So when were sliding, I noticed that the bottom of Tiffany's boot was falling off. Not the sole itself, but the whole bottom of the boot, hahaha..... I guess the boots was not made for sliding and those trips up and down the hill. That's not the hilarious part though, even though that is quite funny. It all started off with these two young teenagers at the bottom of the hill trying to get hit by the sliders or jump out of the way. The whole gang was like "what the hell are they doing" and "if I hit them, they would get a good smack". So I look over to Tiffany "and she was saying, if I hit them, I would kick them" to Stacey and when she did the kicking action, the whole bottom of the shoe flew over Stacey's head and I just cracked up laughing. So that is the boot story, happy now Tiffany?

P.S. I think the part of the shoe is in the group picture of us.

Amazing Week In February

First, I was going to start off by saying I had an amazing weekend, but it was more than that, I had an amazing week too. Before I start on that, I am typing up this posting while watching NCIS (that I taped off from Tuesday) and there was a part where this guy said he gave up drinking because he lost the woman he loved because he was drunk and slept with her best friend. Well, I never done anything close to that, but the last time I was drunk, I don't remember a thing and I guess I got into a lot of arguments with random people and tried to start fights and because of that, I almost lost the love of my life, but I was very lucky in that department. I wanted to start off with that because majority of the reason this week has been so great, is because of her, Tiffany.

So Wednesday was Valentine's Day and we went to Boston Pizza for supper, which was very nice. We got there 20 minutes early and our table was already for us and the food was excellent and the service was really good as well. It was our first time to the Boston Pizza on Kelsey Dr., but it was a good experience. The waitress must of loved us for leaving her a $15.00 tip as well. With the gifts this year, we basically exchanged cards and of course I gave her some roses as well. We were waiting for Friday basically.
So what was the big deal with Friday. Well for Christmas, Tiffany gave me a gift card for a night at the Winterholme Suite and I decided to use it on February 16th because I was off the weekend, it was close to Valentine's Day, and other things as well. It became one of the best nights that Tiffany and I spent together and I am sure she would agree as well. So right after I got off work, I picked her up at school and off to Buck Weiver's we went for supper, before we went to the suite. So we got to the suite and it was more than I expected, the place was huge and the inside was done up so much, it was simply jaw dropping. Our room had a king size bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and so much more. So we started off with the jacuzzi tub and that was used many times and if I ever build my own house, it will have one in it. It was nice to sit down and relax, while the jets massaged your body. In addition, we watched a few movies, had the fireplace going, and of course other things, but I will keep that between Tiffany and I, hehehe... The next morning, we woke up and had their breakfast, which was like a buffet style, so I had a bit of everything (poached eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, etc...). It definitely was a great night and I won't forget it ever.

The weekend doesn't end there though. Saturday, a bunch of us decided to have some fun in the snow and that is what we did for most of the afternoon. Tiffany and I went to Pippy Park first and did some snowshoeing. Originally, it was suppose to be more of us snowshoeing, but the lodge was closed because of an event in Bowring Park, so Tiffany and I went ahead and did it for 30 minutes. After that, we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon of sliding. Did I mention that Tiffany had a deprived childhood, where she was never on a Krazy Karpet? It was great though, she was having a blast and kept coming up the hill, just to keep going down it. We're a little sore, but it was worth the great time. Later on, Lee-Ann, Stacey, Chris, and two of their friends showed up and that made the rest of the sliding experience a great one. A couple of hours later, we were done. Fun times though.

The rest of the weekend consisted of a supper at Fog City, celebrating Tiffany's mother getting a new permanent job and that was lots of fun. This morning, I got to sleep in for the first time in weeks now and that was a great feeling and afterwards, I went to the gym. So that was my week. Can you blame me for saying it was a great week?

That's it for now, now bring on the snow tomorrow.

I DID IT!!!!! One Year Sober

So a year ago I poured out a bottle of Appleton rum down the sink and said I would never drink again. There was a posting on my Blog explaining what happened to change from one extreme to an other, meaning: going from a lot of alcohol to not even a sip in a year. For the details in what happened, I am just going to leave it as is and will say that the night was a total blur. Oh wait, I can't even call it a blur really, just a night that is lost in my memory banks and to be honest with everyone, hope it stay that way. Last night on my MSN I got a lot of congratulations from my friends and it is greatly appreciated. Most importantly, I proven to myself I can pretty much do anything I want, if I put my mind to it and I am proud of myself. It's not the easiest thing living on The Rock and all, where Newfoundland has a reputation for drinkers, but I did it.

A few questions that people have asked was: Was it hard giving up drinking? What I am going to do in the future?

I am just going to start off by saying that I never use to drink often, just when I did, I drank in large amounts. It was never one or two drinks with me, more likely ten to twelve usually and use to take close to eight beers to get buzzed even. So at first, it was hard going out to parties and downtown without having a drink. However, I had very understanding friends and a wonderful girlfriend that made it easier for me and eventually it went from tempting to not at all. No I can go out and have a great time without being drunk and still dance up a storm and spend some amazing time with my friends. Other things that make it easier as well, now I am usually the designated driver and I make sure everyone gets home safely and I like to know that they are safe. An extra bonus is that, when everyone is drunk and I have control of the camera and your bound to get some great pictures then and I have so many good ones. So what is my future with alcohol. I don't think I am giving up totally, but when I know I can control it and not let one or two beers come to be ten to twelve. More likely the first drink I will have is a Kokanee though where it was my favorite and there is one in my fridge waiting, even though it will be waiting a long time yet because I am still not ready.

So I just had an other anniversary to add to my list, but this one means a lot. Thanks again everyone for the kind words and congratulations.

New Year's Resolutions of 2007

Well it is the New Year and once I decided to actually set some resolutions for the New Year. However, first of all I just wanted to say my Holidays was a great one and I even got to go back to Labrador for a week or so. Tiffany was also with me for the trip and most of the holidays, so we got to spend a lot of quality time with each other and with each other's families which was great. Then the New Year started off with spending time with majority of our friends and and more, but it a totally different story, hehehe..... So here are my resolutions:

1) To write more in my blog. I went back through the previous few postings and I really got slack. So I hope to at least to type in it once or twice a month.

2) To make it till February 3rd without a sip/drink of alcohol and that would make it one whole year of being dry. However, I plan on keep going until I finally feel comfortable enough to know I can controll it. I am proud of myself though.

3) To get in shape. Tiffany and I signed up to the YMCA and it is going very well so far. Where school is starting up againg for her, it's a time of day we get to spend together, even if it is for a short whole, it is worth every second. Plus, she finally has someone to go with.

4) To cut back on junk food and take-out. So far I have not eaten and junk food at work since the New Year. Take-out as well. Don't think I am giving it up totally, just going to have it like a few times a month, just cutting back from few times a week like it use to be.

5) ?????

By the end of this year, I will go back through these resolutions and see what I have accomplished or not. Wish Me Luck!!!!!

The Lucky Scruff Theory

Is the scruff lucky? My guess is that is, but we'll have to wait and see after further tests.....

Long Time, No Type

Hey Folks,

Over the weekened, Tiffany commented on how I never wrote in my Blog anymore and I meant to, but since the accident, nothing too exciting happened. However, not saying it has not been good because it certainly has been. I am not sure who reads this or not and I am sure if I had loyal readers, where it has been so long since I wrote in here, I probably lost them as well. It's funny though, majortiy of my Team Leaders (Supervisors) at work ask about it since the whole incident this summer, which is behind me now and I like it better like that. Most of it is about Tiffany anyways, so it is all good in that department, hehehe.....

I am going to start by commenting about the accident. I am not going to get into much detail about it because my own insurance company fucked me over, by not investigating the accident properly and paying the cab company off and next Fall, I am sure my insurance will be going up because of it. Fair or not, not much I can do. Wish I could get Newfoundland Cabs back, but I am going to let be. Most importantly Tiffany and I was ok and my car is fixed. I brought my car to "The Dentist Specialist" and he did an amazing job with my car. If it wasn't for the slightly differnt colour door, you couldn't tell I was in an accident. In addition, Pippy survived it as well, hahaha..... I leave it at that to keep the reader's thinking.

Now, on to work at Covergys. I think I am allowed to say the name of the place I work, but not the company I work with. However, for the past few months or so, I have been working with a new project at work, which is working out great actually. At first, I was a little sketchy about it because I didn't volunteer for it, but my hard work paid off and now part of a great group peers and two good supervisors to go along with it. I will say I work for cellular service though, like cell phones. It is definitely different from the other projects I worked in. Where it is new, it is slow and not many calls coming in. My start times went a little earlier, so I get off at a decent time and get to do stuff, that I wouldn't be able to do before. In addition, I got my PA (performance appraisal) a few weeks ago and I did great this time around and because of that I will be getting a better raise the next time around when I accumulate my hours and starting December 10th, I will be starting at 7am's. It will be a change from what I am working now, but I think I am looking foward to it and getting off at 3:30pm's will be awesome. Lastly, I earned my every second weekend off (even though it took some time) for my perfect attendance of the third quarter from July to September and I love the fact I get to spend more time with Tiffany, which leads to my next topic.

Tiffany and I are still doing great and getting better as time goes by. I definitely was appreciative for her being there the night of the accident because she was able to comfort me the next day, where I never showed up to work and she just spent time with me because I never slept the whole night. On the weekends offf, we have been pretty much relaxing for most of it because since the accident, we rarely go out anymore. However, I am sure we will get out soon enough. Tiffany has been busy with school lately and I have been trying best as possible to be there for her support where the semester is coming to an end soon and exams is just around the corner. I am happy that she has great friends in school as well, because it has been hard this semester on her and I seen that first hand, but I would never give up on her and I know her friends would not as well. So special thanks goes to NaDeana, Sweyen, and Beth and you'll see mine and Tiffany's appreciation soon enough. I was volunteered to cook them supper and all. When you are a good cook, you are a good cook. Tiffany never complains. This Friday is the nursing Christmas Party and I can't wait, should be loads of fun. I think the date I am waiting for though is December 15th. Why this date you might ask, it is the day I am flying back to Labrador and this time I get to take Me Loves with me for her first visit to Labrador. I get to show the one I love the place where I grew up. There is not a whole lot to see and do, but I will make sure she is not bored, no stress involved, and just give her a memorable trip to Churchill Falls. Just an other thing to add to our list of great memories. CAN'T WAIT!!!!! I am sure she is feeling that was as well.

The only other things I could think of right now, in what happened in the past month or so are three things. Tiffany and I showed up to our friend Stephie's house-warming party and that was lots of fun. I rarely see Stephie anymore, but very happy that her life is going well with her new guy and the new house is really nice and the two kitties are cute. The second thing would be an awesome night with a great friend of mine from Acadia, now at MUN named Jill and her boyfriend Dave and Tiffany. It was a night of small ball bowling. It was the first time I did small ball bowling in like 15 years, but it was great fun and I am sure I will be doing it again. Plus, having old friends near by and talking about old times is always good. Acadia Geology started a new life for me and I am sure I will never be forgot there in that department. The last thing was tonight, where Tiffany's friend Stephanie P. decided to through a suprise for our friend Janelle for her birthday. Tiffany could not make it because she was not feeling well. So hopefully in the next few days, she gets better. Always hate seeing a loved one not feeling well. At first, I thought it would be a little uncomfortable for me being there without her, but I was felt welcomed and that helped a lot. The supper was great and Janelle was out of it from the early mornings and 3/4's of her drink, so it was pretty funny. Steph is cool as well and I see picture of her daughter tonight, so cute. So it turned out to be 2 hours of fun and I was happy to be invited.

That's about it for now. Hopefully next time, I won't wait to so long to type up a new posting.

I'm Outta Here!!!!!
