Three Months To A Year

"Three Months To A Year" Well, let me explain the title of this blog first..... When May 3rd came around, I have been dry for three months and I'll talk about how that is going in a little bit. When May 15 comes, I have been going out with this simply amazing girl for a year and in that year, there is a lifetime worth of memories that I'll never forget and I am sure more to come.

So things with Tiffany and I are still going strong and this summer is going to bring a lot more great times I am sure. I love the sun because my Tiffa is always in a better mood and even though she'll be going to school troughout the summer, I did promise her a great summer either way and I plan on keeping that promise. Since the last blog, Tiffany and I did celebrate our b-day's together and so many people showed up to our party down to The Republic. I think we filled the whole back of the bar actually. There were peeps from work, nursing students, and friends all around and it was great to have so many people show up. My father was also down that weekend and I don't know how much we ate out, but I think I am still full, hehehe..... I got a new tent and Coleman stove for my birthday, which leads to a camping trip in June and I can't wait. Tiffany and I are planning on going to Central Newfoundland for a week and eventually meeting up with my bro that is coming down for a vacation away from Churchill Falls, Labrador. Right now, there are still lots of planning to do, but it looks like we'll be doing white-water rafting, while the bro will be going down in his white-water kayak. I can't wait really and I am pretty sure Tiffany is looking for a well needed break. School can be stressfull, but I am very proud to say that my Babes got straight A's in her courses that she just finished in the Spring. I now owe Tiffany a meal for that as well. However, it was a win-win situation anyways, if she didn't get straight A's, I would take her out to make her feel better and if she did, I would take her out to celebrate. The last two weekends has been full-filled entertainment as well, even though I had to work. Last Saturday night (not last night), a few of us went downtown to O'Rieley's to see the Navigator's play and that was a night of dancing for me. The past Friday, Stephanie had a bbq and the food was very yummie, specially the steaks that Tiffany and I had marinating over night. It was so tender and tastey. After the bbq, we went to my friend's Lisa's place and got to see some old faces from The Canoe Regatta in Goose Bay, Labrador. Lisa and her twin sister Kim are both very nice people, that I enjoy talking too and hanging out with, the few times I was back in Goose bay over the previous 5 years or so. Michele I have been keeping in touch with as well, even though her family moved out in Newfoundland. Even my little cousin Terri was there. So it was a great time seeing all of those people again. Last night I went to my first turkey fry. Yes, a turkey fry. They actually deep fry a turkey on a propane burner outside for like 40 minutes, but it turned out great, I was quite suprised actually. I was very shy because I was around people I never really knew, but it was still nice to be invited. After the bbq, I picked up my friend Shannon and we went to my friend's Courtney's place for a party, where majority of the nursing students were there. Some of them that I met for the first time, but they all knew me from Tiffany talking about me a lot (hopefully all good) and the pictures from her MSN Space. It was loads of fun though and I enjoy partying with them, they are all good people. Then we went to Lotties, but only stayed for a short while where Tiffany got beer spilt on her and a girl stepping on her toe, but I had to work today either way, so I'm glad we got to leave a little earlier.

So I am sure a few people are wondering how the not-drinking part is going after going downtown and to all these parties. Well, I did find it hard at times, but having people coming up to me telling me that they are impressed and happy for me, it's not that bad. I think beer is the hardest to be around though because it is sooooo good, but never tempted to even take a sip really. I guess my will is pretty strong, but it is already worth it. I am noticing I have been saving money and I got to buy all the nice ladies drinks last night, which were the nurses ofcourse.

While, I am here at work, I might as well talk about that a little. I still have perfect attendence in the New Year and I can't wait for my vacation in June because I am beginning to drain out here. Kind of tempting to call in sick today where I had the two last days off and off tomorrow, but I didn't. Could of had a four day weekend out of it, but oh well. I can't really complain because I get to do a lot of offline stuff like floor support. The only thing with floor suppport that many don't like is taking escalations, but I haven't been minding that much. Customer's seems to calm down a bit thinking that you are a senior agent. My shifts seems to be getting a little later and not sure what the reasoning behind that is, but hope that will be fixed soon.

So my life is going very well overall and I can't wait for tonight, to have some of Tiffany's chilli.

Peace Out, C-unit
